A frenzied buzz is on about yet to be released Femto Jack that uses the latest Femtocell technology in wireless communication systems. Ymax Corporation, the company behind the magic Jack, will soon be unleashing this new product on the market.

Often it is seen that all hype dies down after a little time and new product promises do not get met. To keep the excitement fresh, Ymax developers are now having to work extra hard to make sure this release is amazing.

To be precise Femto Jack is basically an enhanced version of its current and very popular magic Jack phone service. Currently the Magic Jack provides users with unlimited local and long distance calls to the United States and Canada for a one-time fee of $39.95 and then a cost of $19.95 per year thereafter.


Working exclusively with GSM standard phones, Femto Jack is expected to get launched in the market within the three to six months. It provides end-users with the same usage package at more or less the same price. In future it is hoped that it will work with nearly all the telco carriers.

Femto Jack uses Femtocell technology which is not only easy to use but simply designed as well. The technology consists of Femtocell using radio frequencies to transmit calls of the user through a broadband Internet connection, across magic Jack’s dedicated VoIP network and directly to the desired destination.


This new product has the ability to work as a cell phone signal booster. It works best for those who are not being able to get cell phone service at home. Without getting bogged down they simply can set up Femto Jack and they will instantly have the same kind of facilities that they can expect to get from any mini cellular tower.

Femto jack’s claim of giving cell phone ability without having actual cell phone signal is accepted by people with grain of salt.  Early reports however indicate that it will be powerful enough to get the service from anywhere in a normal house of medium height.
